Mother's Day 2010

Nathan surprised me on Mother's Day by coming home from work early and giving me a beautiful boquet of roses and lillies. He and Tavis took me out to dinner, and Tavis actually ate what we ordered for him! It was a great day, and it was a nice change from last year when Nate was in Pakistan by himself.

Reading and Napping

Tavis loves to be read to and look at books on his own. I hope reading is something he will always enjoy as much as I do. As for the socks on his hands, well, his Auntie Heather bought him some Elmo and Cookie Monster socks last year, and he has always wanted to wear these socks on his hands. He never puts other socks on his hands, just these ones. He used to need to help to accomplish this, but has recently begun to do it all on his own.

After I make the bed every day, the first thing he likes to do is pull back the covers and crawl in. Go figure. Can't get him in when I want him to be, and can't keep him out when I want him out.

Tavis at Two

We have been getting professional pictures done of Tavis every six months or so since he was born. Finding a studio here was no problem, there are several downtown very near to where we are living. So here he is, our big two year old. He is no longer our little baby, but a very handsome little boy. He had a great time with the pictures, but was a little upset we weren't able to take the four wheeler home.
