Last Days in Saudi
I have added pictures of our last brunch at the Al Faisaliah tower. It was pretty expensive, but great food, and we tried to go once or twice a month. There is no segregated seating, and everyone is treated "equal", so it was nice to take off my hijab and feel normal.
We tried to get pictures of all the people we encountered on a daily basis. You can see the staff at our apartment building, the Pakistani men who wash cars in the parking lot at Tamimi Market (Safeway), as well as the little girl who sells things outside of Safeway with her mother. Tavis loved to buy her treats, and we went to the store several times a week, so they were "friends" by the time we left. Can you see her mom in the pictures? The guys that Nate work with had a dinner for us as a goodbye, and you can see us in a picture with two of the men - Rassoul and Amal. They were also at Tav's birthday and are really great people.

I just realized I haven't posted anything since we have been back in the States. We had family pictures taken in Elko with Bo when we got home, and I am sharing a few here.
After our time in Elko, we traveled to Nebraska, through Kansas, to Oklahoma, then through a few states to get to Ely for Grandma Gust's 85 birthday and to see Aunt Susie. We spent the Fourth of July in Ely, and then traveled down here to Las Vegas, where we hope to be for awhile.
Once I find my camera, I will upload some pictures of our last days in Saudi as well as from our trip.

Camels
We went to visit some camels last Friday. Nate drives by these camels every day to and from work, and was never really sure why they were there on the side of the road. There are several "stations" each with their own camels and tents. After stopping to see the camels, we learned that the men who own the camels sell their milk and that is how they make their living. They are desert people, or bedouins, and live very simply. Tavis had a great time visiting the camels, and Nate had a taste of the milk. He said it was actually very good.
**I just noticed the same picture is in this post twice. Just more for you to enjoy! :)**
Helping Daddy
Just another post about how helpful Tavis is. Every morning he likes to make sure I make Nate's coffee just right. He will then sit and have breakfast with his dad. As soon as Nate is out of the shower and getting dressed, Tavis will run and get his dad's boots. He of course then has to help dad put them on!!

Mother's Day 2010
Nathan surprised me on Mother's Day by coming home from work early and giving me a beautiful boquet of roses and lillies. He and Tavis took me out to dinner, and Tavis actually ate what we ordered for him! It was a great day, and it was a nice change from last year when Nate was in Pakistan by himself.
